LILLY PULITZER FOR TARGET
This past week, Target announced their latest design collaboration with the “Queen of Prep,” Lilly Pulitzer. An American icon that was once exclusive to Palm Beach’s social elites is now being made available to new and old fans alike through Lily’s resort chic line. The collection lives up to the late Lily’s style mantra, encompassing a full lifestyle from home décor to fashion with prices ranging from $2 to $150. Fashion items include the iconic prints, and 15 new exclusive prints created by the brand’s artists specifically for the collaboration. Target made sure this line had something for everyone, designing over 200 items under $30 – with adding plus sizes offerings beyond their normal size 16. The collection launches in the US and Canada on April 19th.
During the spring summer months, Lily is one of my favorites with her ebullient prints and easy shift dresses that make you look chic on the quick with little effort. If you love color and bright prints you will love this collection, its apparent Target went through great strides to make certain this collection didn’t tarnish the brand’s name sake.

History of Lilly Pulitzer: In 1959, Lily Pulitzer started selling orange juice from her citrus groves on Worth Avenue, being a stylish woman she created shift dresses as her uniform with bright colors and patterns to hide the juice stains. The dresses outsold her juices – with this unexpected success the brand was born launching her resort collection. And, since then Lily has been known as the “Queen of Prep.”
