As we approach Thanksgiving, I can’t help but to feel so incredibly thankful for the gifts in my life: good health, a loving family, thoughtful friends and a design career I love. My grandmother used to say; if you are blessed with two out of the three gifts in life: friends, family and doing what you love, you are luckier than the majority of people. I never knew what she meant until I got older but no truer words have been spoken. I think no matter how big or small our blessings are, we all have a reason to be thankful. My hope is that this Thanksgiving when you are surrounded by love and your families, that you will focus on being present in the moment, allowing yourself to feel content with the gifts that you’ve been given. I think Oprah had a good point saying, ““Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”
Here’s a wonderful recipe you may want to try in the days leading up to Thanksgiving. These sweet potato biscuits are to die for, especially with a little apple butter!! (Click on Recipe to enlarge image)
