Bookcases are perfect for displaying pretty accessories and housing those ‘must read’ books. I love how they used a Moroccan inspired tile wallcovering as a backdrop. Such a simple application with huge impact. West Elm $549, DIY $350 – You can get the wallcovering at Etsy. com HERE – the DIY definitely gives you a better look than a West Elm piece.
My ALL time favorite! I love anything gold so this étagère was a definite on my list. This is one of the more simpler projects but its one of the prettiest, there isn’t a place that this would not add glamour. Horchow $1829, DIY $100 or less. I would change out the bottom shelf for a cut mirror instead of the glass it comes with to add a high-end feel.
Billy Bookcases are one of the most used but versatile pieces used for Ikea Hacks. I really like how Centsational Girl used this pretty blue paint and added trim detail to the front, bottom and top of this bookcase. Retail $200, DIY $150 or less.
This is a more detailed piece but manageable and worth the time. The pink accent and library sconces are the perfect finishing touches to this wall unit. Retail $1500 +, DIY $500 or less
